EAST HOUSE POLICY
EAST may charge a door entry fee or cover charge at it's discretion. A cover charge contributes towards the service and the entertaining environment we hope will be enjoyed at EAST. A standard cover charge may range from $10.00 to $20.00. Special Event entry fees could be higher.
It is advisable to visit our Shopping Cart as most Special Event tickets can be pre-purchased at a cheaper price on-line rather than on the night.
GUEST LIST
EAST has a strict VIP Guest List. This list is coordinated during business hours, is limited and restricted to legitimate reasons and VIP Guests. If you would like to enquire about being on the VIP Guest List on a particular night, you will need to do this between the hours of 9.00am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday by calling (07) 5538 8868 or by email to info@east88.com.au. Calling at any other time, night or on the weekend will not get you onto a Guest List. It is at EAST management's discretion who is added to a VIP Guest list for any night.
EAST is a beautiful venue with a stunning decor and this has been designed to please the clientele that visit EAST. In turn, we encourage the same clientele that do enjoy EAST's ambience to dress to suit the occasion, the style and environment of the venue.
At EAST we also invite individuality and unique-ness in fashion sense and we are non discriminatory. MINORS
Any person under the age of 18 will not be able to gain access to EAST. and Chairman Mao Lounge + Bar. This includes for dining at any time, even with a guardian in tow. It is unfortunate, however this is in accordance with the Queensland Liquor Act. EAST has a Cabaret License which allows the venue to trade until late, which, at the same time forbids the entry of minors into the venue after 5.00pm.
Original Photo Identification is required to enter EAST and Chairman MAO Lounge + Bar. This is a requirement by law and is unavoidable. Only the following forms of identification are accepted as proof of age to allow entry into the premises-
• a current Australian driver's licence or permit
• a current Australian or foreign passport
• a current Government issued proof of age card
• other current identity documents approved by the Liquor Licensing Division such as
(a) the Victorian Key-pass
(b) an overseas drivers license that must contain the persons photograph, date of birth and be written in the English language. If this license is not in English it must be accompanied by a current document (an international drivers license) that converts the document into English.
Please consult our House Policy below for more information on forms of Identification.
PATRON IDENTIFICATION (ID) SYSTEM
Your ID will be stored securely on the premise's central CCTV by the Patron Identification System on entry. This is in order for the venue to fulfill its functions and responsibilities pursuant to Section 155 (Minors on Premises) and Section 156 (Supply of Liquor to Minors, Unduly Intoxicated and Disorderly Persons) of the Liquor Act.

SECURITY MONITORING SYSTEMS
Constant surveillance is undertaken at EAST through our extensive CCTV monitoring system. Metal detectors may be used on occasions, and bags may be subject to searching as part of our ongoing committment to public safety.
PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEOGRAPHY IN THE VENUE
Professional photographers need to request permission during business hours (Mon to Fri 9.00am to 5.30pm) to be able to gain access to EAST for photographic reasons. Two days notice is required so that approval can be organised, and it is at the owners discretion whether each individual request is granted.

All functions (or dinner parties over 10 guests) require a 50% deposit on reservation, with the balance to be paid 48 hours prior to the function - this is allowing time to confirm the number of guests attending the dinner or function.

We take all feedback seriously. We love to receive great comments and reports about experiences that people have had at EAST, whereas at the same time, we need to hear the other side of the coin to improve our services to all our customers. Please do hesitate to make contact regarding any circumstances that are important to you, to which we will respond in confidence as soon as possible.
Many of the above points are covered extensively in our House Policy. This House Policy is to maintain the premise's obligations with respect to providing a safe environment for patrons and staff. The House Policy is also to ensure that liquor is served, supplied and promoted in a way that is compatible with minimising harm from the use of liquor, and preserving the peace and good order of the neighbourhood of the premises.
