Glamourous Plastic!

Friday, 17 July 2009

Hotter than molten glass is the glamourous new plastic-ware at EAST in Broadbeach.

Yes, it’s elegantly fake and on the shelves ready for your favourite drink to be served from this weekend. And you might say that at EAST they are rather proud of it… there’s no undercover switchover going on behind the bars, just a sexy advertising campaign telling you how it is in glassware, or rather, plastic-ware from now on at EAST.

But oh the dilemma…. don’t all the hot young movers and shakers head to EAST every weekend for their late night fix of vodka-laced lime and soda…? What will they think?

“It’s actually very cool, glamourous plastic glassware. In fact, you might not even realise the difference if we weren’t making such a fuss about it” says EAST Marketing Manager Tony Rigas.

“Don’t forget, taste and enjoyment are always high priorities for us as a hospitality venue. Our customers spend their hard earned money for a night of refreshment in an entertaining environment and expect quality. We’re not compromising on this demand for quality, but at the same time we are working with the community to ensure comfort and wellbeing just a little bit more for our customers, knowing their concerns from our research. And of course with this introduction we’re pleased to offer something new for our spirit glasses, highball, cocktail and martini range, with our other stemware changing to fully tempered glass too. It’s chic, fabulous and glamourous and I suggest you try it!”

After months of research by observing some of the leading international venues in hotspots like Las Vegas and New York, and with a keen interest in what’s been happening in the local and national industry, the team at EAST have not only sourced a fantastic alternative to glass, but have taken the lead from iconic establishments such as Tao in Las Vegas – one of the largest and most desirable late night venues in the world. The introduction of this new plastic service range not only suits the high-end venue environment but has already endured the rigours of savvy bar customers world-wide and won out in the opinion stakes.

Okay, so it’s good, looks great, tastes great…. but what’s it made of?

“Fully poly carbonate, shock(ingly) resistant, hard as diamonds and crystal clear. Oh, and don’t forget dangerously sexy too!”
